WIRE COATING

Steel wires are coated by spraying a metal, whose melting point is below the flame temperature, onto the surface to be coated. The metal wire to be sprayed is fed by a drive unit into the nozzle of the spray gun; as the wire passes through the nozzle, it is melted by an oxygen and combustible gas flame. This molten metal is then atomised with high-pressure air and sprayed onto the surface to be coated.
